Sunday evening is changing on the 88 repeater. We will, on a temporary basis beginning on March 7,2010 try something new on Sunday evenings. We will be suspending the AR Newsline and continue the K2KWK Hilltop bulletins and provide more time for him to give us local and condensed ARRL letter news. The RAY PICKENS & LEON INGRICK JR. MEMORIAL NEWBIE NET will then start at 7:30PM and go till 8:45 if Dwight does not need extra time. The subject for each net may be put on the 88 repeater tail message. This goes off each hour. There is now a good following of Hams, new and those who have been around awhile to talk about such subjects as programming that new handheld/mobile radio, famous Hams and the never ending subject of antennas. The net will remain on the 88 repeater.  To connect via echolink, please use K2RRA-R as a connect call or node number 217959. Net control will now be in short durations of 6 months or so to prevent burnout and provide for constant change. The point here is to get your feet wet by running a net. It is a Newbienet and should from time to time be run by Newbies entering the Hobby/Service of Ham Radio. Brad Allen KB2CHY will be acting NCS till a replacement is found. The Newbienet now has an email addtess all its own. For anyone including those listening on scanners, please address all comments and suggestions to newbienet@frontier.com. If you are interested in being a NCS operator for the Newbienet, please contact the net Manager at kb2chy@frontiernet.net. Net manager is Brad KB2CHY.

We have echolink now on the 88 repeater.
